A Call On A Wind Phone
Thursday, 16 July 2026
This morning I went to the Sunbeam Lenape Park in Frenchtown.
The park is near the Delaware River. And there is a wind phone.
If you never heard of a wind phone the concept (originally called the kaze no denwa) was started in Japan. You may pick up the receiver and have a one-way conversation with someone who has passed away. The idea is that your words are carried to them on the wind.
I told Paul how much I miss him, cried a little bit and hung up.
How fortunate that there is a wind phone so conveniently nearby.
I'm sure I will be making more calls.
